of the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program and the
ones who stay behind.

Human
migration
featured
in
audiovisual
media
(cinema,
television,
and
the
internet)
has
built
a
fairly
solid
ground
that,
in
fortunate
cases,
contributes
to
reflecting
on
the
complexity
of
this
event
and
building
empathetic
processes,
meaning
to
“walk
one
mile
into
the
shoes”
of
migrants
themselves
or
their
beloved
ones
(who
stay
in
their
home
countries).
In
other
cases,
media
itself
simplifies
the
understanding
of
migration,
which
overshadows
every
empathetic
attempt;
these
particular
sounds
and
images
often
reinforce
the
manifestations
of
repudiation
for
anyone
coming
from
other
places.
The
following
documentaries
have
been
created
with
the
former
intention
in
mind.
They
are
the result of many years of collective work, shared with you through this website today.
