Profile

She is a doctor in Political and Social Sciences, with a specialty in International Relations; She has a master's degree in Sociology from Tulane University and in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is a Senior Researcher at UNAM, with 41 years of experience in teaching, dissemination and dissemination of culture. She teaches in the Graduate Program of Political and Social Sciences, in addition to the fact that she is a member of the National System of Researchers.

She was co-founder of CISAN, Director of CISAN, Director of Voices of Mexico Magazine and Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal North America. As a current member of the International Advisory Council of North America magazine and a member of evaluation commissions at UNAM, she is active in reviewing projects, scholarships, books and articles. Likewise, she participates in diploma courses, seminars, conferences and the media.

She has been evaluated at UNAM, with Level "C" of the Performance Bonus Program for Full-Time Academic Staff; she awarded the "Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz" Recognition and recognized with Academic Merit by the Autonomous Association of Academic Staff and her university peers.

She is the author of the books "International Justice: Ideas and Reflections" (2014) and "Threatened Democracy: Why do populisms arise?" (2020) and coordinator of the recently published book “Rescued Democracy. The 2020 election and the start of the Biden administration” (2022). Her next publication will be "The T-MEC in times of populism.”
