Alexis Bedolla Velázquez is a researcher in the Area of Geopolitical and Strategic Studies where he is developing the project “Genetic Self-Monitoring: Health, Epidemiology and Mexican Racialization in the United States.”
He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Bristol, a Master’s degree in Applied Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Metropolitan Autonomous University. From 2021 to 2023 he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Research on North America (CISAN) with the project “Epidemiological Securitization and Global Health.”
His main areas of expertise include Studies of Science and Technology (STS) and the history of epidemiology during the 20th century.
