Multidisciplinary seminar towards creative and cultural industries (SEMICC)
The SEMICC aims to increase knowledge about Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) in North America and their relevance to Mexico. It is proposed as a space for monitoring, studying, and discussing research on cultural and creative industries from various disciplines. Using a heterodox multidisciplinary analytical framework, it seeks to review and evaluate the methodologies employed in the analysis of CCIs and to maintain constant observation of new research methodologies that address the specific characteristics of cultural and creative industries. SEMICC organizes public and periodic conferences with academics and other professionals in fields related to CCIs.

Permanent seminar on critical Sociocybernetics applied to the study of North America
The Permanent Seminar on Critical Sociocybernetics Applied to the Study of North America seeks to deepen the epistemological and methodological contributions of sociocybernetics theory and critical theory to the study of space in general and the North American region in particular. The seminar is envisioned as a space for studying and discussing key texts from three theoretical fields: sociocybernetics, critical theory, and regional studies.

Seminario Études sur la Nuit – Night Studies - Estudios sobre la Noche
The Seminar on Night Studies aims to create an academic forum for collective discussion of the urban night through case studies in various North American cities. Its ultimate goal is to provide a better understanding of social nocturnality and to promote a culturally rich nightlife that balances political and social tensions while fostering economic wealth.

Research seminar on critical legal studies and migrations
The Research Seminar on Critical Legal Studies and Migrations aims to present ongoing or completed research approach from Critical Legal Studies (including poststructuralism, feminisms, queer theories, post- and neo-Marxist currents, among others) that challenge authoritarian and colonial legal concepts, such as critiques of sovereignty, return, detention, and asylum. It also seeks to expose the structural, subjective, objective, and symbolic violence faced by migrants, whose mechanisms operate through positive law: soft, national, and international.

Trinational seminar "Dimensions and emerging actors in human security in North America"
The Trinational Seminar "Dimensions and Emerging Actors in Human Security in North America" is part of the work of the Binational Research Consortium between the University of Arizona (UA) and UNAM. It is envisioned as a space for reflection, analysis, and discussion on Human Security from various perspectives, including securitization processes, economic, environmental, and food security, among others. The seminar focuses particularly on border governance and cross-border relations between Mexico and the United States.

Permanent Seminar on Canadian Studies (SPEC)
Conceived and created at the Center for Research on North America (CISAN), the SPEC is envisioned as a platform for promoting Canadian studies through the presentation and discussion of current topics on the binational agenda by distinguished specialists from various fields of knowledge at universities in Mexico and Canada. Additionally, the SPEC aims to involve students at different levels in these discussions, with the goal of cultivating new research talent through a permanent workshop.

Permanent seminar of studies on paradiplomacy and transborder studies in North America
This seminar provides a space for reflection, analysis, and discussion on studies of interactions between subnational states in North America from various perspectives, including globalization, governance, federalism, decentralization, economic integration, international relations, and other theoretical approaches compatible with these categories. The seminar focuses particularly on cross-border relations between Mexico and the United States but also addresses, from an interdisciplinary perspective, issues on the bilateral agendas of Canada–United States and Mexico–Canada.
